I don't necessarily want to move there, specifically, but I'm house hunting in the areas within commuting distance of Worcester, and I saw a house for sale there.
In case you haven't noticed, the housing market is a bit ... competitive, these days. Hard to find much below 350K within 45 of the city.
When I've asked people who live around Worcester which towns I should consider living in, several mentioned that Southbridge has a bad reputation, so I was curious and I thought I'd ask about it.

generally speaking where are the shitty parts. it's hard to tell just from looking at google maps or a realty website.

Reply to Is that Jewish deli on highland st any good? Helfands I think it’s called by Sithlordbelichick
The food is ok, but some items are overpriced. Sandwiches taste fine. the actual "jewish deli" items are very expensive. $17 for a reuben? seriously?
Their kugel is good. latkes, and knish's are ok, but not amazing.
The atmosphere is not at all like a jewish deli (if that's important to you). It feels like some kind of boutique / day spa. Wierd zen music playing, and a huge flat screen TV with nature scenes playing on a loop. What the hippy hell were they thinking?

yeah, but OP already has his suspicions (read the post) and it's the first thing I thought.
How many people knew about it?
There's your list of suspects. Especially if there's nothing else missing.

bacteria evolved the ability to do this first, and are so good at it, that there is little evolutionary advantage to be gained by any plant that managed to evolve the ability. the plants don't need to fix nitrogen. They already have mutualistic relationships with microbes that do it for them.

They actually had complex scoring systems where you got points for splintering your lance, or hitting certain body parts. obviously you got the most points for knocking your opponent off their horse. Each match usually consisted of four bouts, so even if you got un-horsed, you could potentially come back and win.

At the base of each leaf stem (petiole) there is an area called an abscission zone. When it's time for the leaf to drop, enzymes are produced in that zone which digest and dissolve the stem, until it breaks.

It's much faster. You can blow leaves off a lawn in a few minutes, compared to hours of raking. A thick layer of leaves can smother grass and lead to bare patches in a yard.
Plus you get to feel like a ghostbuster. blowing leaves is oddly satisfying.

It's an attempt to get us to click on these real-estate links. I'm sure they're all being sold by the same realtor or developer or something.
edit: yup, they're all in some godawful cookie cutter yuppie development called "Wagner Meadows". Looks like something from Stepford Wives or Edward Scissorhands. I should crosspost this in r/McMansionHell

This sounds like one of those chain emails from the 90s.
"I was skeptical, like you, and I didn't forward this email to 10 people, as I should have. Then my life fell apart, my children hate me, and my dog cheated on me. If only I had forwarded that email, I'd drive a ferrari, and live in a fancy house!!

you'll need to do a Carfax or something similar for any car you buy that cheaply.
A lot of the too-good-to-be-true cars around here have salvage titles, which means they were in a collision, or maybe a flood, and then repaired. Those cars are risky, because they tend to have invisible damage that doesn't become a problem until later. hairline cracks in the frame, electrical problems, etc...Some dishonest car flippers will just do the minimum repair work to make it look good and get the engine running.
I've seen a lot of those for sale around here lately, both at dealerships, and on facebook marketplace. I saw one that looked like a great deal, until I found out it had been totaled 3 times! by 3 different owners!
