The plant isn’t whimsical per se but instead of odor control units they replaced a conveyer belt with a screw conveyer and dump truck system for dewatered sludge. So now instead of replacing bearings and fixing the damn belt every few weeks, they have to empty this dump truck every 2 hours while running the centrifuge. Seems like there could have been a better upgrade but Southbridge went with the absolute cheapest contract bidder like usual.

It’s the compost operations. There’s absolutely zero odor control in the mostly open compost building. I worked there for a year, and I’m very close with the 2 guys that run the place. They get very little funding from the town for improvement projects, and when they do they’re kind of whimsical projects at best.

Those are some good points. Tbh I had no idea about the new bins until I got one delivered to the house. Thought it was a little silly but hey that’s why the city wants so I went with the flow. At least until collections started breaking the bins.

Bags are actually a good idea, I had never though of it. I guess we’ll see what doesn’t happen

They’re definitely cutting them or breaking them off in some other way. My lid also became magically separated after putting it out twice. The collection crews also love throwing the bins as hard as possible at the ground, because I came home a few weeks ago and a huge chunk was broken off the container, which is the same shit they did with the other style bins. The whole new recycling bin program was a complete waste of time and money. A better investment would probably have been making sure collection crews aren’t spilling the contents all over the road (which I’ve seen them do). Anyway I’m back to using the original style

I think this is a fair point. With how much my assessed property value increased recently (which raised my taxes like 25%), I think the city officials would use ADU’s as an excuse to increase assessed values or even the tax rate. But we do need more places for people to live

You could look at something in the Attleboro area. Idk about night life and all that but it’s close enough to raynham and providence that you could make those trips easily enough. There’s also a commuter rail to Boston

I don’t think those super bright white LED headlights are even the high beams. I only say this because I was driving to work one morning, around 5:30, and a truck with the super brights was blinding me so I flashed my highs at them….and they proceeded to flash their actual highs at me, which was like looking into the sun. I think what you’re looking at is their standard headlight now
