I think Bush Jr is a great example.

We've had a lot of presidents, and as you probably noticed, some of them were pretty dismal.

Increasing salinity in coastal areas is already a major problem for local governments. The associated damage is not hypothetical. When these plants are built, they won't be pie-in-the-sky technology but with whatever fits a tight budget. Don't fall in love with a single technical solution.

Much better, thanks.
People in the US are killing off endangered species because they want their water softeners.

Discharge doesn't get sprinkled over all the water on earth, it comes out of pipes in real places. Those real places can't handle brine because it will kill everything around. Carthage anyone?
It's obvious you don't know anything, accept it and move on.

I think they mean the natural white color is why we still call it margarine. Your facts are correct though. My wife did this as a kid in Iowa, where dairy ruled over all.

Deep frying a turkey is somewhat popular, but tempered by the seeming thousands of videos of people setting their house on fire.

It’s not. They launched a satellite. And they also have a 3D printing experiment on the ISS that the author calls a satellite. It’s not, it’s a suitcase.

Look at The Martian. Most of the problems are things breaking unexpectedly. But FYI, the flight operations team is usually cut back somewhat in deep space because nothing is expected to happen.

I thought that it was due to tidal forces from Jupiter, flexing the shape of the ice shell. You can’t generate heat by mixing liquid water with ice.
