Reply to I am looking for 3bd houses in an excellent (8+ rating) school district in Massachusetts, with good community/neighborhood. I work in Cambridge thus wanted to keep commuting distance under 1hr. Can you suggest few good towns and approx. house price. Thanks!!! by AloneManagement8650
Budget needs to be double what you have now if you want good schools and a home that doesn't need major work within commuting distance.

Costco prescription home delivery says there's some available. I do not know the normal price of this medication. It is a teensy bit over a 1000 bucks🙀at Costco...
Good luck and hope you find some soon!

Please don't! Get some / any insurance.. it might sound like a lot but regular health exams are probably covered and even if there is no catastrophic incident that requires it, you will benefit from medical exams. Best wishes

Buy first hand knowledge have you seen it yourself or at least a photo? I’m looking for someone to say I heard it from so and so. by lectrician7
Some idiot listened to Tucker Carlson on Fox News or some other news media for idiots and seeded thus rumor into some god fearing conservative mom. No better way to spread misinformation.
PLEASE VOTE in your local elections so these idiots don't get elected into school boards and stuff.

Get some insulation board and tighly seal it. It is an easy DIY project. Check around windows and doors and make sure you get some of the trim that goes around the doors and windows to let them close completely.
Our home is new and has blown in insulation, but the unused fireplace was causing at least a 20 degree temp difference despite the damper being closed.

If you are not using the fireplace, seal it! It makes such a big difference with drafts. Borrow a temp sensor from your public library and check for cold spots. You are most certainly losing heat somewhere. Good luck and hope everything goes well!

I think you have to either forgo the large yard or the proximity to the airport. Both of those are not possible unless you can stretch that 900k to about 1.8 or so. Cost of living is much much higher than most other places.
Traffic really blows, but if you work from home, that shouldn't be an issue. Parking can be pretty expensive in Boston (about 25-50 a day). Most people take the train.
The good thing is that there is a half decent transit system (commuter rail and the T) if you can be close to one of these, then it shouldn't be too bad to get to the airport. Driving to the airport is def not recommended.
If you're moving away because of the political climate, I'd also look to see how the areas here are voting. There are some areas where you can see the same sort of people here as well. Look into how the town votes and that should give you an idea.
Most people are nice!

💯 Another difficulty is finding an appointment. You have a problem now? The next available appointment is a couple of months away. We need more doctors (caring doctors that want to help out) :(

It is one thing if the snow slides forward, but a whole other problem if it flies off the car into some other unassuming vehicle.
