Reply to NASA fixes solar observation spacecraft by turning it off and turning it on again by Byzantium
That's 50% of IT work. "Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on?" I'm a programmer, but I can't even tell you how many times I've asked that when my folks call me about a random computer issue or my wife asks me why such and such isn't working. Most of the time, I'm not at all interested in what the actual problem is, I'm only interested in the resolution.

Reply to Russias Medvedev says arms supplies to Kyiv threaten global nuclear catastrophe by R1ckCrypto
Is there anything, anything at all, that Russia disagrees with that doesn't risk a rain of nukes? I bet if Putin's toast is slightly burnt tomorrow, we're risking nuclear catastrophe. Lukewarm bath water? Nuclear catastrophe. Stubbed toe walking past the couch? Nuclear catastrophe. Dog is rubbing its ass on the throw rug? Nuclear catastrophe. Seriously, it's time for a new empty threat, Putin. Before anyone says it's Medvedev saying it...we all know who pulls the strings in the Kremlin, so let's not pretend we don't.

Crumbl? They make some fancy-ass (and expensive) cookies. I have a couple very generous friends who get me a dozen for my birthday every year.

Reply to TIFU by getting banned from a club and losing a friend due to my autism by LightningMetabolism
I imagine the club, and probably the bouncer personally, could (and would) be sued if an incident occurred between you and another patron of the club after everyone heard you very vocally declare that you were a predator with REALLY disturbing tendencies. It would have been irresponsible for them to not prevent you from entering after something like that.

Maybe I'm being a bit of a prude, but I feel there is a time and place for that kind of thing. In the legislative well of a state house, in knowing full view of minors doesn't seem like that time or place. Does nobody police this type of thing. Are there no standards of conduct? I'm going to be disappointed by the answers, aren't I?

There probably will, but it might be free for a couple years to compete with Apple. I can't imagine the service will cost more than InReach, though. If it is, there is no real incentive to switch over for those of us already using that service.

I care. It was the only reason I was going to upgrade from my S22 Ultra. If they included the satellite SOS, it means I might be able to cancel my Garmin InReach $39.99 per month plan. The phone would pay for itself in 2 years.
