14 years in on a Kitchen Aid 5 qt. No complaints, would buy again. Pick a neutral color, you will have this for a long time.

My Bosch is 12 years old, i have very hard water, it’s still going. But….it’s getting flakey about running a full cycle, oftentimes I have to run a second time to get it to fully wash.

At the end of the first season iirc.

I got mine rowing for Purdue in 2003. It was a big deal then, and I remember it being expensive. I still wear it, not all the time, but it’s still waterproof.

My Seiko 5 series is beautiful, all mechanical, and while it’s relatively new I expect it to be BIFL

I bought the individual Global knives that I wanted and made a set. In hindsight, the chefs knife is used 85% of the time, a bread knife and paring knife get 5% and the rest barely get used.

I love my Seiko 5, automatic movement means it is completely mechanical and does not need to be wound and does not require batteries. These range from $100 to $200 depending on which of many models in the series you like. My understanding is that they are not BIFL, more like buy it for a few decades before it will need a jeweler to disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble (which may cost more than the watch cost but by then it’s sentimental value more than logic).

Way over $50, but I can confirm that I bought mine in 2007 and still going strong: https://www.amazon.com/Detecto-Reading-Physicians-without-Height/dp/B008N3J76O/ref=sr_1_5

Yes, widely available on Amazon and eBay. I’m going on 15 and 20 years of using the same Pyrex for storing leftovers, mostly 2 and 4 cup round. My second set of lids is starting to fail after hard use.

Just bought one, based on this reputation and the fact that it’s completely mechanical. So sick of batteries needing replaced every few years.
