Held phantoms and BMW GS gloves. Both have lasted me for a long time and I commute and tour with them. Maybe causal but both of them are made with roo Leather

Pretty good I’d say. Unless you are really forcefully abusing the pack (rucking etc.) you really don’t need 1000D Cordura. The rest of the bag is pretty much bomb proof

I have a helinox. My crib with them is it’s a pain to assemble and disassemble when you are mobile camping. Ex. You pull up to a spot for lunch. Assemble it. Then lunch over and you want to hit the trails again disassemble. Then you stop for the night assemble again. It’s very light weight, next morning it’s blown away/ over. Again mine is a niche usecase where I don’t camp in spot for more than a night. If you are a get to campground and stay for a few days camper or if you are tight on space/ weight like motorcycle camping helinox is amazing.

If looking for the most sturdy the Alps Mountaineering King Kong and the Coleman steel camp chair are very sturdy. My frustration was that they don’t pack small. Take a look at Front Runner camp chair. It’s more a director style sit-up than lean back nuts it robust and packs real small

Reply to ISO a bifl laptop bag/briefcase, preferably leather, if not leather water resistant would be nice. by HossMontgomery
Look up Mitchell Leather from Wisconsin. Family business which literally sells a hundred or so briefcases a year. The quality, workmanship and attention to detail is pathological. Love them.
If money no bar then look at Swaine Adeney. Very classical briefcases and attaches. The Bond and Westminster are my particular favorites

Subjective I know but the Palm thickness is still pretty good and I still feel them to be protective.
