You absolutely do get echo chambers, as many cultures naturally create enclaves. If you think homophobia is not a thing in Indian or Chinese communities.. ohhhh boy, you should talk to some LGBT Indians or Chinese...

It's not about "not paying people better". It's a literal workforce shortage. There are more job openings than people available to fill them. I'm going to guess that you are not German, or living there, otherwise you'd know that even on a part time minimum salary, you can live quite well.

It's not even about profits. Lower production necessarily means higher prices, as inefficiencies increase, and demand per capita has increased in the past decades. Of course, this could be solved by people accepting a lower living standard, but somehow I don't think that's going to happen.

Not sure if this applies to Germany, but I suspect it's similar. Here in NL, working 4 days a week is quite common. Of course, lower pay, but it's good enough for most things.
Housing is a huge problem, but I suspect the birth rate has more to do with people just wanting to enjoy life more, as kids are quite the burden on a hedonistic life style.

I'd argue this isn't really a reform - you'd need even more unpopular measures in order to properly stabilize it.

That's correct, but it takes two to make an agreement, and much of the LDP's leadership is likely to pander to the uyokus. Consider that initially, Korea considered both Kono and Kishida as terrible options, in regards to their relationship, with Kishida being the worst option.
So yeah, I'm impressed that he managed to do so many positive things, given the expectation.

I suppose I should've prefaced it as "For a Japanese politician", and qualified is as "exceeded my exceptionally low expectations. Pretty much all of post 2000's major politicians have been ineffective at best, if not downright incompetent.
If people actually expect someone to be able to turn around the dumpster fire that is the Japanese economy in just a few years, they're highly delusional. Much of the fault lies with the mentality in companies. I believe some PMs actually raised this point, but companies either ignored it, or entrenched their positions. I suppose one thing they could do more is encourage startups, as many of those have been performing quite well, but still..

I have to say, I was very skeptical of Kishida when he took over, but he's been doing a lot of things right. Not just the Ukraine aid, but also regarding Korea, mobilizing ASEAN, etc.

No no no no, this is clearly disinformation! We all know Glorious China is bringing about a renewable revolution! /s
Let's ignore the fact that much of the renewables exist only on paper. And much of those that do exist, are incredibly inefficient due to corruption - As long as they're visible and functional, it's all good. And so, they use low quality parts and fake numbers at every level of the manufacturing process.

All of them? No, but most of them do think like this. Russian communities tend to form enclaves in whichever countries they're transplanted into, and usually consume Russian state media. It's a huge problem in all of the ex-eastern bloc countries where Russian colonists were brought in to replace the deported local intelligentsia post WW2.
It's clear you know nothing about the area and the problems we have to deal with.
Edit: Just to clarify, I don't mean this as an insult, but more of an encouragement to read up and talk with people to get a feel for what's actually going on.

Reply to Russia’s security service works to subvert Moldova’s pro-Western government, intelligence documents show by wobblyweasel
For those that don't know the background - Russia has been manipulating Moldova's political scene ever since they broke away from the USSR. Technically, this is nothing new, but in light of certain developments in the region, it's getting extra attention. Hopefully, we'll be rid of these assholes as soon as their attempted genocide fails.
