I'm DM'ing a VTm campaign.
Generally you can't eat food, your stomach doesn't work. You throw it up immediately. There is a "merit" you buy called "eat food" This allows you to hold food down until I more appropriate time to throw it up.

I don't think I've read anything on it but in theory it doesn't seem out of place to imagine there are tidal effects of the moon on the mantle which could cause 2nd order effects on plate movement.
