I know, I loved their book section. I live right around the corner from Coven, but it's a little bougie for my taste.

They're going through some legal issues with their building's landlord according to their FB page. It seems to have something to do with shoddy work done by a contractor to their store. That was last May... unfortunately doesn't seem like they'll be reopening any time soon if at all.

I think a polite note explaining the situation and asking that she maybe get some rugs would be completely reasonable.
