I read somewhere that the only reason the Appalachians aren't taller than the big European and Asian mountain ranges is because they used to be, but they're so old that they've sunken over time.

It's so interesting that we assign "carefree" as a youthful feeling when kids are going through so much that few actually feel that way. While they don't have adult responsibilities, they have a lot of pressures from all different angles. It's often not until we have more control over our lives and feel comfortable in our own bodies that we can start to actually get that feeling; it's pretty impossible as a teen.

There's a recorded case of an orca holding a great white shark upside down FOR 15 MINUTES so it would die, then just eating its liver. This happened near some islands off the coast of California. A bunch of great whites in the area fled, including a tagged great white that immediately dove to 500 meters and swam straight to Hawaii.

What if you do but only once in a blue moon? I punched my partner in the back in the middle of the night once while Dream Me was fighting a giant bee, but I don't generally do things like that.

It's very common in people with neurodivergence, especially ADHD, to mimic the accents of people they're talking to, often without even realizing it. It's a kind of unintentional masking because we're often mirroring the gestures and facial expressions of people we're talking to in order to fit into our environment.

This post shows an example of it.
