We’re past that point already. In my area, homes are 1.5 - 2m. So if you lived here and suddenly got 2 mil, you’d not be rich, you’d just be able to buy a house to live in.

You understand Japanese? That’s dope. Good for you. Unless you are Japanese, in which case you understand English… and that’s dope, good for you.

If you are an American tv viewer and do not see the storytelling power and function of flashbacks… I’d like to introduce you to a little show called LOST.
Not a perfect story throughout, but man is it some masterful storytelling.

I enjoyed it, but 100% understand what you mean. For me., because I watched it dubbed, I chalk a lot of things up to that. If you did the same, and didn’t watch in original language, I think it is a factor. Things come across a bit differently, and translations are imperfect.
Definitely think they could have tightened it up by removing a ton of monologues, and flashbacks (though I quite like most of the flashbacks as they tended to reveal something about the characters that would be impossible otherwise).
I basically tend to go in expecting that any show I watch dubbed will come across a but strange, so I set my mind to watch around those oddities.
It too went in because I read the synopsis and wanted something like squid game. Battle royale type things are one of my favorite genres, so the first episode got me hooked. It didn’t maintain that level of quality for long…. But the end of season 2 was satisfying.

Bit of a difference in that we can’t change the future, rather we help build the future.
If you’re building a tower of bricks, you don’t worry about changing a brick as you go if it’s broken. Not a big deal. But after the tower is built, removing a broken one might mean toppling the whole tower. And if people live in that tower now that it’s built, you better be concerned. But nobody yet lives in the tower we are currently building. Even if we do something to topple it, it only impacts the structure and not the people living in the structure (because no one lives there until we build it)

They also had paul giamatti showing up instead of Jim Carrey…. They fixed that, but now Paul Giamatti doesn’t show up for his movies like Arnold was doing.
Someone is doing something weird

Tv’s are crazy light nowadays. Remembering the weight of the old CRT tv’s makes it really astonishing just how light they are.
I got a tv to replace one that was half the size, and it’s like a quarter of the weight of the old one. Both flat screens, but the old one is like 10 years old so. They build them out of feathers now.

I’m way older than you, and not at all “sensitive”. My emotional responses tend to be dulled by my upbringing and what I believe is a trauma defense.
I have great appreciation for my lack of sensitivity. Being overly emotional seems exhausting. But I will say that positive people are great. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like being around folks who readily express positive emotions like joy, humor, love, compassion, etc. if that’s you, then please don’t seek to change. It’s delightful to be around people who appreciate the world, and who exude positivity.
But negative emoters are a drag. Folks who sad cry over small inconveniences, or get very angry over little things, get envious over everything, easily offended and fearful. If it is negative emotions, then I’d say it would be worth working on a bit.
Sounds like you’re on the positive side, which begs the question…. Why would you want to change? If people you are around don’t like that you are happy, that is bonkers… find new people. If they are sick of your crying and complaining, then maybe it’s worth exploring though.
