Or it’ll be super traumatizing but people will just keep on telling you you gotta do it and you’ll just retraumatize yourself again and again because people would rather believe positive bullshit than actually feel compassion.

I once went to an abandoned house in the middle of a forest, downstairs there was a key hanging on the wall that had a key fob where the word ”the hole” had been written. Up in the attic there was a very old bed that had a heavy robe tied to it. On the wall, next to the bed, there were flowers drawn, looked like a child drew them. This story made me think of that place.
