Detroit’s population is ~650,000 versus Hartford at ~120,000.

Detroit’s population was once 1.8m.

Hartford’s max was 185,000.

Hartford is two hours from NYC and 90 minutes from Boston.

Detroit is 4.5 hours from the next larger city (Chicago).

I miss the Whalers and wish we got the Patriots.

But come on…

That’s u/coolducklings point though. You can’t tell the difference. LEDs are easier to be out of alignment, and they’re more directional, so even a bounce or a slight uphill or downhill angle can make LEDs seem like they’re right in your face (because they are). That, and as many have pointed out, the auto-high beam feature in a lot of newer cars is flashing them more often too. There’s an overpass near me that I go under nearly every time I leave my house. When I go under, my car decides to make my lights brighter, even in broad daylight.

Not disagreeing with you that headlights are a pain in the arse lately, but it’s more the technology, not necessarily a bunch of people being pricks.

Sounds like you’ve opened the flue.

The next culprit is extreme temperature differences. Cold chimney doesn’t let heat rise and you get backdraft until it heats up. But it’s not that cold yet.

Next culprit would be blocked chimney. An animal nest or something else. How long have you lived in the house and when’s the last time you had the chimney cleaned?

But nine times out of ten it’s the flue.
