The iPhone SE 2022 has much better battery life than the 12 Mini and that’s saying something. Also, the 12 Mini battery life is barely any better than the 2020 iPhone SE.

The entire iPhone 12 lineup has awful battery.

Basically…in terms of battery life for these iPhones.

iPhone 13 Mini >> iPhone SE 2022 >>> iPhone 12 Mini > iPhone SE 2020

If you really want a modern small iPhone, get the iPhone 13 Mini. Avoid the iPhone 12 Mini at all costs. There’s a reason why Apple discontinued it too.

Otherwise get the iPhone SE 2022. It’s a fine iPhone with the updated hardware internals. The rear camera itself takes better photos than the iPhone 11 series and the 2020 SE.

Also the Touch ID sensor is even more improved on the 2022 SE over the 2020 SE and the iPhone 8.

It also has 5G support and you can turn it off if you want better battery life.

Another benefit of getting the 2022 iPhone SE is that all screen protectors and cases for the iPhone 7, 8 and 2020 SE will work fine. They all have the same dimensions too.

I personally do not recommend the iPhone 12 Mini. Garbage iPhone. I had it issued to me at work and immediately replaced it with the next year 13 Mini which was far superior in battery life. It literally lasted 2.5x longer than the 12 Mini.

It ultimately comes down to one thing.

What do you factor more? The battery life or the form factor?

If you like the compact size, go for the iPhone 13 Mini.

If you value the battery life, go for the iPhone 13 (6.1 inch).

Also all iPhones from the iPhone X and onwards support up to 18-22 watt fast charging. So you can charge your phone really quick if you’re running low on battery. Keep that in mind.

It’s better than the shitty iTunes garbage that doesn’t even let you pick a different hard drive to back up your iPhone data.

You can have a 128 GB SSD on Windows 10 and if you back up your iPhone with iTunes, goodbye SSD storage.

At least with iMazing, you can pick a different location and a different hard drive to store your iPhone backup AND customize what can be backed up and restored to your device. It’s a very powerful backup tool.

It used to be there prior to iOS 11 as it was easily accessible until iOS 11 was released around September of 2017.

But did you also know that the iPhone X was also released in late 2017 too? It has an OLED screen as well.

If you recall, high brightness could cause screen burn in for OLED screens if the user kept their display at the highest brightness possible for whatever reason.

Apple most likely made the Auto Brightness hidden under accessibility so that way users don’t ruin the OLED screen with the iPhone X and later. Otherwise there was no issues with iPhones with LCD screens at high brightness.

As for Auto Brightness being hidden away under Accessibility settings, here’s the link for the source.
