So, what would you propose? Any time someone makes an allegation that they were inappropriately touched that the accused should be presumed guilty and immediately lose their position? be arrested? That's just complete nonxense.

How is that different from any other assault allegation? If you claim that some one punched you in the arm, they aren't going to just take your word for it and arrest the guy. How do you provide evidence?

No, I'm saying that you can't prosecute criminal activity based upon rumors and hearsay. Those could be the basis for an investigation, but you need actual proof in order to convict. It's one of the basic principles of our legal system.

I would hardly put universal daycare in the same category as universal healthcare, which is something that I do support.

I'll give your opinion the full consideration that it's due. If someone wants society to be responsible for the day-to-day care of their child, they should just surrender it to the State.
