Use two long pieces of scrap wood and nail them together near the end with one nail. Lay them where you want the rails next to the pond. Mark where the boards overlap and/or clamp them together.
Draw a line where you want the seam and cut there to make templates. They may not be the same angle, so label them.

Tung oil and citric acid. The acid opens the pores, tung oil takes a bit to dry, but is tough. Food safe, as well.

You could put a piece of plywood up as a mounting block so you can place it anywhere. If you're picky about how it looks, you can stain/paint it, add some trim, make it round/oval like a medallion, whatever look you prefer.
Bolt the plywood to structure on two or more beams.

SketchUp. It doesn't take many test drawings to get down the ones you'll use most.
Last time I looked, there was still a free desktop install from 2017. It's all online now.

Triangles are stronger than rectangles. Corner brackets for the legs will add a bunch of stability. Even 2x2. Same with the h bracing on the bottom.
Super fancy would be 4x4 legs with castle joints and the top inset instead of on top. Also, look at adjustable feet, in case.

You need grass seed of the same variety or you'll have a patch of a different color.
Buy the larger bag, you'll use it eventually. Throw down twice what the bag says. Rake it lightly and keep it damp for a week or two.

It depends on use. For light use, battery would be preferred. If you plan on heavy use, corded may be better.
