while we're expanding the scope of the issue just start taxing churches and you could have recovering addict bus drivers making $30/hr transporting your kids in a gold Mercedes

Unless the car is driving up in the sidewalks over the curb I just don’t get how people would get hit by cars? Looking both ways you would see a car still coming at speed and probably not cross until they see you right

pedestrians do have the right of way in most cases but none of those cases will alleviate the impact of a RAM 1500 at 40mph

I’ve worked from home for nearly 3 years and I definitely feel insulated to a lot of the problems surrounding a sick day, I can save sick time and stretch out a work day or just call out easily.
COVID has created far greater disparities in money needed vs money being earned, some people are definitely working more hours or more jobs to pay for their necessities and can’t afford to take a sick day and still go into work sick.

I was going to say a day every 2-3 weeks is a lot, but I think I just had super strict parents because i got sent to school sick all the time. staying home sick was the same as playing hooky

missing the point, you can't just put a sign up that says 5 mph limit and call it a very safe road where no accidents should ever happen. would be just as useful as posting a sign that says "pretty please no accidents on this road"

point 1 I've been on the side of slow patient driving lately and on a dark rainy day it is nearly impossible to see people jaywalking still . Whalley is not well lit. Posted speed limit in most cases doesn't matter single lane Orange St is 20mph and multilane Whalley is 25. but no one is driving under 30 on either. sadly if it's a jaywalk it's the pedestrians fault everytime otherwise it's just frogger across a highspeed road

It would needlessly clog up an already struggling violation appeals process. Would overwhelmingly confuse drivers who are used to right on red which would need to be posted, fewer right on red intersections would only congest intersections more and lead to longer wait times. Won’t deter dangerous drivers who’ll keep violating anyways.
on the noise side if relying on digital location of high-noise offenders to dispatch a unit a similar system has already failed in the shotspotter gunshot detector

Backseat policing in my opinion would only inconvenience good drivers and not punish bad drivers
