Reply to comment by Lyonors in A (now former) Mad Mex Oakland employee weighs in by VacantLot412
Got laid off from a BigBurrito restaurant during Covid, the management at the place worked hard to take care of us, but I've heard other people say this same thing. I wonder if the mad mex employees in particular got screwed. They were kinda their own "thing" in the company.

There's some kind of core misunderstanding the south side that seems to be a recurring issue. I can't put my finger on it, but like when the Vault opened where the beehive was, you could just tell they were doomed. I expect the same for whatever they're doing to what was Cosmo (which was also doomed). I think I will soon be vindicated in my belief that the 2019 slightly swanky revamp of Carson City has doomed it as well.

Wawa should clap back by requiring that employees remove teeth

The neighborhood structure. I know some other cities have it, but being able to have effectively a walkable small town where I am, and a 10 minute bus ride to the next neighborhood being essentially a "fun day out" is awesome. There's always more to explore, despite the city's small size, and you get to know the faces.

Wildly excited about this next generation of southsiders. That's innovation right there.
