Yeah and Melisandre said Stannis Baratheon was the prophesied prince. The future is hard to predict...

Seriously though after Martin said that Ty Frank took to Twitter to say he and Abraham won't finish it without George's consent. But what happens when his estate decides they want the check from the publisher?

Daniel Abraham was literally responsible for splitting of A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons into two books because Martin wrote too much for one book (source they have talked about it to cons and a simple Google search confirms this). And he hasn't issued any qualms about finishing the work when Martin passes (hopefully with more written).

If I'm looking for a specific title or edition of a title I use ABE, Biblio, and maybe eBay. If I'm just looking for stuff to fill out my collection (an ever present need) I have the most luck with used bookstores.

Whenever we are going to travel (even just a couple hour trip) I open Google maps select my rout and then zoom in on population areas along the way and search "used bookstore." I almost always have several to pick from.

While I do love my public library, a good used bookstore is a game changer. There is no wait list for holds, no due date & fines, and no "oh sorry you live two blocks out of district" just browsing and finding great reads at significantly lowered price than MSRP. Bonus you can sell back books you don't need on your shelf anymore.
