Yeah, I’m going to have to disagree with you here. The dialogue alone makes it a 5 star novel, but what really makes it special is her poignant but not preachy social commentary and her almost Aristotelian examination of virtue and how those facets impact love. I mean, I think “persuasion” is her strongest novel, but p&p gets the really amusing side characters and the most satisfying ending.
