That's hard to to say too... Define "punk".

For instance,, I fucking loathe that anyone even knows the name GG Allin... But some will contest he was the most realist hardcore "punk extreme" ever..

When he was actually a disgusting sack of shit with multitude of mental health issues.

I think Jello alone holds a pretty punk attitude whether I agree with everything or not. But from 1978 to 2019... That's a punk Band through the ages... I'm not qualified to even give an opinion on some of their history and rationale because I was not around during it.

Antiflag has been staunchly rooted in political activism in their music, unwaveringly. I'm not a huge fan of theirs but it is what it is.

Black flag is mentioned only for Henry Rollins. He's ultimately a guy who tries to live well and offer his insights, which I think is pretty punk.

Bad Religion is honestly the one I put up as the potential crown snatcher.... They are just so damn good.

Oh, I wouldn't believe for a second it was a legal situation. More like a producer or staff member said, "hey man... You seem nervous - here's a couple Xanax that might help take the edge off."

This is the same crew that took a pregnant heroin addicted teen girl to skid row to score some smak before her show....literally filmed this activity for the audience preview of her situation and how addicted she was.

If anything it'll lighten the mood with a joke. They are dreading the conversation probably as much or more as you are and also probably won't make it a long one.

I dunno what specifically the content was but if you can pass it off as just artistic or art related I'd go that route. If it's clearly slappin material... You can always go the 'stumbled on it out of curiosity' route and then listen to the lecture.

Since you're 15, most sensible parents are, or should be, not surprised at this coming up at some point soon.

Hoping they aren't super religious, sexphobic, or bigoted people for your sake. If they are just regular ol' tolerant/accepting people then the anxiety will be worse than the actual discussion.

Honestly most people have a change in things as they age.

I used to go to concerts quite a bit from 16-25. Local shows, arena concerts, outdoor festivals... but you would have a hard time dragging me to one these days. Too expensive, too crowded, too much hassle, sometimes too loud depending on situation

I slowed down around 26-32.. Last heavy metal show in the pits was lamb of God and the Last few Arena shows I saw I greatly preferred the "stands" over the GA floor. Think it was Iron Maiden. It's just easier... I can just walk out the hall if I gotta pee or grab a beer and not wade or fight through bodies.

Nowadays, I can see/hear pretty much anything I want via streaming services/YouTube at my own convenience.

There's certainly the 'live spirit' to experience at a solid show with like minded people but the expense, crowd, hassle, and well...sweaty people... Just aren't something I care to deal with.

It's not the only thing I've had a change of interest in and I'm sure it won't be anywhere near the last.

I think that's true for all people. We grow out of interests to one degree or another our whole life.

Dr. Phil will actively destroy someone on live television just to play the part of a savior to his audience of bored, middle aged women that live for daytime TV.

This guy showed up because he had a severe alcohol problem. He was sober when he arrived for the set.

He was understandably nervous and anxious and sobriety on top of it doesn't help when you are dangerously addicted to alcohol.

So, the staff gave him a few Xanax to calm his nerves and put him in his green room to wait for air time.

Oh..... And his green room had a FULL BOTTLE OF VODKA coincidentally sitting in it.

Just one drop in a bucket of fucked up shit Dr Phil has done.
