making hella money for their overpaid executives. if only the PPA was required to spend that revenue in the right places. they can't even pony up for public schools (which they were mandated to do).

like most crime things in philly, the scum putting those flyers up are coming in from the suburbs and nj to spread their hate. these slackjaws literally believe a majority of the public are sympathetic to their cause and seeing these messages will help activate others to white supremacy.

none too bright!

if you want to be more specific about how rhynhart contributed to and made decisions that ultimately created the 2008 financial crisis then by all means.

otherwise, when i read a word salad of accusations with no evidence, i remain unconvinced and get the sense there's an axe grinding in the distance.

so was she approving mortgages or managing credit derivatives? i think you're fundamentally misunderstanding both her job and the 2008 financial crisis here

did nutter actually say "i'm exploring a run for mayor"? that whole 2 week episode just seemed like political gossip, which then required nutter to come out and say "no" so he could put an end to it.

as for brand, i know he was an occasional talking head on CNN but not sure he's even doing that anymore.

i feel like former politicians, who definitely have their own interests, can make for good hosts in these types of forums. journalists really don't play hardball or hold the subject accountable, especially when it comes to politics, lest their organization be denied some kind of access down the road (which is its own conflict of interest).

EDIT: thanks for the downvotes i guess?

people love to rag on it, but 311 is pretty great. staffing shortages and poor coordination between different city departments isn't 311's fault, so people need to temper their expectations for certain kinds of repairs (streets and abandoned vehicles especially), but overall i report what i can and more times than not 311 has satisfied the request (eventually)
