IDK if calling them will do any good.
Is it possible that you did use that much power? Do you have:
A well? - Could be a leaking pipe causing the pump to run a lot.
An electric hot water heater? -Again leaks would increased use.
Space heaters or heat pump? -I know that you said wood heat.
Hopefully you can get it sorted out.

No.
The interesting thing about social media is that I can make any comment that I want to.
Don't worry, the mods will remove you posts soon anyway.

LOL.
Good luck with that.
I'm not the one selling hand-jobs online.

Right, the corporate greed of the oil companies leading to record profits for them is the problem.

Really? Sounds like a garbage business model to rely on word of mouth.
Lets see if anyone posts a thrift store not covered by the Google search that I linked.

Very good argument. /s
Seriously what part of my post triggered you?
There is very little public assistance available for an unemployed 20 y.o single man.
I gave totally reasonable advise an some folks just freaked out.
Seriously, instead of talking garbage, tell me what was wrong with my post.

I'm not mad at anyone.
Do you know of any program that gives free housing?

For him,
- Get a job
- Get paid
- Find housing
IDK what he expects, but there are people WITH jobs and families that don't have housing. You should send him on his way (after this cold snap) with directions to the nearest homeless shelter.
Why doesn't he have a job? There are jobs available everywhere.
Perhaps he should make nice with whoever kicked him out, and return to that house. Unemployed 20 year olds don't have a lot of options for free housing.

I am not "cheerleading" for it.
Governments and industry are the cause and there is nothing that I can do to fix it.
What I can do is realize that warmer weather means that I use less heating oil. That benefits the environment and saves me money.
If you think that I am ignorant for realizing that warmer weather saves poor Mainers money then good for you bub.

Reply to What brand of steel toe boots do the old timer construction workers, miners, and farmers wear in Maine? by Thro-it-a-way
Redwings, when I was skinny enough to bend over to tie them.
Now that I'm a fat old guy it's Justins square toes, because i can slip them on.
IDK if Redwings offer a pull on design or not.

Not necessarily, but there are very few apartments available, and the few that are vacant are priced extremely high.
Have you looked online?

With the shortage of apartments in Bangor, you probably won't be able to choose a landlord.
If you are lucky enough to find an apartment that you like and can afford, you should probably just take it.

Reply to How long is to long of a commute. by bluecommet84
One hour and 10 minutes each way is 2 hours and 20 minutes per day of commuting. (in good weather)
A little over 11 1/2 hours per week of commuting. (in good weather)
~50 hours per month of commuting. (in good weather)
You need to consider gas prices and wear and tear on your vehicle.
Whether it's worth it or not is up to you.
