I've used SGF several times, but not in several years. Depending on day and time you can get through security anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. The 2 hours is just playing it safe. There isn't much for food and drink past security, so you may want to eat beforehand. You can fill up your water bottle after the checkpoint.

I don't know any specific place, but if we had one here in SGF, it'd probably be up on the Northside somewhere. That's where the few craftsmen still have repair shops. Maybe one of them could either do it or point you in the right direction.

The state can't really do anything because the property is federal. They'll bust him for parole violation and then he'll face federal charges I'm sure.

My guess is someone walking alongside the road got clipped by a car. The number of hit-and-runs in this town is startling.

Yeah, some of the roads in this town are bad enough to drive on, let alone walk on/across. When walking, I always assume the drivers aren't paying attention, even though it is their responsibility to do so.

Not saying it's the case in this situation, but I've almost hit several people since the time change. A lot of them are walking on the road with no reflective gear. Everyone needs to be more cautious; drivers and pedestrians alike.
