Sorry to see them go, but service was always crummy. Went once when they were on the corner at Grove back in 2011/12 and service was abysmal - chalked it up to the relative lack of competition downtown back then. Gave the new location a go about six months after they reopened - by which time there was many more dining options in the neighborhood - and the service was even worse than before. Never went back. Wish them well in whatever comes next for them.

For real? These folks just parked up in the road, locked their car and went into the church?

How is this not an immediate impound offense? That is insane - even by the standards of this very messed up driving town.

There was a nice little grove of trees there that they destroyed in order to facilitate whatever kind of work this is. You don't notice or appreciate little neighborhood embellishments like that until they are taken away.

Real property tax numbers for you to chew on (two-bed apartment, primary residence, downtown):

2016: $7,279 (pre-reval)

2019: $9,863

2020: $10,917

2021: $$10,876

2022: $14,362 (current)

That's a 97% increase in the space of six years. Given that the jump in the past year alone has been 32%, in not sure you should be too upset about a 20% rent increase.
