Reply to LPT: Count the number of Trick or Treaters that come to your door. It’ll help with buying candy next year. My dad kept a tally for decades. Now my sibs and I do the same. Knowing we had 63 kids in 2021 helped to decide how many bags of candy to buy. by gladysk
I always loved trick or treating as a kid, but it’s still a lot of fun as an adult. We had 5 big bags last year and we got 7 this year. We had almost 200 kids last year and expect more tonight. I hope the rain holds off.

Rockefeller Center, NYC. We’re looking at rings and the sales lady (with her thick Eastern European accent) says to my now husband, “Joove gots to azzk herrr, now!” He had the ring in his hand and when he went to open his mouth completely lost his composure. She didn’t know he was on the verge of tears. She was quite exasperated with him! LOL! He finally got himself together and of course, I said yes!
