You can’t go wrong with Spigen. Their hybrid cases are slim and offer good protection for drops. Their screen protectors fit the cases well and don’t jut out.
It’s definitely weird that your screen protector is that thick. Keep it on for a few months until you see the coating wearing off and creating smudges when you use it and then replace it.

Definitely yes. I don’t care about drop protection. What really peeves me are micro scratches and the oleophobic coating wearing off. A screen protector is cheapest most hassle free way to solve both these issues.

This may sound bitter to all DSLR fans.
A DSLR camera can never be as good as a film camera. A DSLR can never replicate a the shots of a Portra 400 or 800 film.
