knowing the universe, i wouldn’t be suprised if there were a few gas-terrestrial binaries orbiting a barycenter dotted around our own milky way

How the fuck are the dyson satellites from mars gonna get close to the sun, the SHEER AMOUNT OF FUEL needed to get to a low orbit of the sun is mind boggling and shit. Hell, just to get to mercury, it took 5 years of gravity assists to slow down enough to get into an orbit of mercury alone. Mercury is the hardest planet to get to, and you want to send thousands of those to an orbit even lower than that?

The launch vehicle itself is to be considered, in some cases you will want a small rocket, but others you will need a different one. some missions require different rockets, and trying to make humanity compete over our final frontier is a stupid.
Space is supposed to unite us, not divide
