Reply to Interstellar - is Coop a terrible father? by [deleted]
Coop needs to go to save humanity. The thing I found annoying is that his daughter is written as a one-note character who despite being a scientist doesn't understand this and for her entire life is defined by her anger for him. This is a general problem with Nolan's often poorly conceived female characters. And I say that as someone who really likes Interstellar, what is good in that movie is so good that it makes me give it a pass for its flaws, of which I think this is the biggest.

The film has some lovely imagery but I didn’t think it worked. It’s primarily a love story which I found it hard to get invested in, against a backdrop which can’t make up its mind whether it’s a sci-fi movie about climate change or David Lynch style surrealism.

"It's All About Love" by Thomas Vinterberg. Due to the impending apocalypse, water keeps freezing and it has a scene with people in an African village floating in the air.

It's "cast" not "casted".

Was there only one print ? Usually there should be several and ideally you'd like to get the negative for a remaster. The film was released on DVD in Germany, so there should be a more recent widescreen master than a pan & scan VHS tape, though that too might look dated by now. You need to find out who is the current licence or rights holder is and locate the negative, or failing that a print. De Laurentiis Entertainment Group is listed as the distributor, so contact them, legally you can't do anything without them anyway. I'd also make some phone calls, rather than leave it to Twitter. Best of luck !

She makes it clear from the start that she's not interested in a serious relationship and he thinks he can change that or he doesn't believe. He's the one at fault, I never understood why so many think that she's the villain here.

I don't see what the point of that would be or why that would be an interesting concept.
