Yeah space is probably a constraint although both these gyms find plenty of space in manhattan so im sure if they wanted it they could make it happen here. I think perhaps the demographics of JC have changed so much over the last decade that too some degree businesses that could work here now havent caught up yet (more gyms, more club like bars, etc.)

All of the people I know who live in walk up buildings or rent from individual owners have not seen increases like this. It seems to be a luxury building thing. Don’t want these increases? Don’t like in a luxury building that has shareholders and huge debt to answer too

No parking signs must be posted 24 hours before they go into effect. If they are, it doesn’t really matter if your car was already parked there, it’s your obligation to move it. It actually is nice of the officer to warn you before you are towed. How could someone know whether you plan to drive your car in the next few days when posting the sign?

The issue is that people can self report people without permits and if they do, parking authority always come around. Whenever a whole street gets hit at once, I assume someone reported it so there is a risk they do it again. You can’t get 2 permits for 1 car, that doesn’t make sense
