Well, if someone has chronic fissures, preventing more would be treatment for the fissures by logic.

When you click to report someone on YouTube, the number of options they give is surprisingly low and doesn't cover everything.

If the current wild theory about magnetic fields being able to produce potential warp bubbles turns out to be true, FTL might not really require a complete rework of physics.

Reply to comment by swierdo in Why the "we're too early" interpretation of the Fermi Paradox? by LilMushrum
The assumption problem can go both ways though, if one can not provide evidence to disprove an extraordinary claim.
The very discussion of alien intelligence is within the realm of the extraordinary imo, and I think such discussion invites at least accepting the possibility of the extraordinary when the evidence (or lack thereof) has neither proven nor disproven claims.

The presence of UFOs seems to get waved away a lot when discussing the Fermi Paradox. That might be a mistake. Even the US government acknowledges UFOs that they can't actually disprove with scientific analysis.
Radio signals also degrade across distance and with external factors, so even if an alien civilization is producing radio signals as part of technological development, the odds of being able to separate it from cosmic background noise might be quite low.

There has been a lot of progress in battery storage technology in the past couple of decades, so it's been kind of inevitable for costs to come down when it comes to solar power and keep coming down.

Homemade jetpacks actually exist in real life though. People have been tinkering with them for years now.

Some recent technological discoveries like synthetic fibers for machine "muscles" have led me to believe that there is a slight chance we'll see a future not unlike the Gundam anime or the Battletech timeline.

Who? IF anyone were to say the Milky Way won't grow larger than Andromeda before collision, then it would be mathematicians who have calculated the distances between galaxies as well as their trajectories and estimated how long before anything collides with the Milky Way.

South Korea and Japan are going through similar issues, with worries of what happens when a certain percentage of the population is in their golden years without enough young people to take over roles in the country and whatnot.

Reply to what are your thoughts on parallel universes? by Available_Opening_98
I like the idea that gravity might be affected by the interactions between universes. That got me thinking that the existence of multiple interacting dimensions might provide a workaround for a real life warp engine to warp space/time with much, much less energy than current models suggest.
