They might want to buy an EV and have a charging station in the garage.

I haven’t been in person in a while, because I just haven’t had a reason to go downtown. They used to make this white chocolate mochi bar and it was SO good. It’s not on their delivery menu, and I have gotten it delivered, but maybe it’s available in person.

I don’t eat pork, so I really like the chicken broth ones at Bantam King, along with their Japanese fried chicken.

You weren’t supposed to, but they definitely let my 3 or 4 year old sister touch it in the 90s.

The petting zoo at the Zoo has a space about bumblebees and there’s a spot where it’s just low hexagonal platforms (like 8-10 inches off of the ground) and it’s good for young kids to crawl over. It’s supposed to look like honeycomb. There isn’t much for the pre-walking age.
In NW Maycomb rec center, Mitchell Park, Kalorama Rec center, and Guy Mason rec center are all good with a young kid side and an older kid side.

Once the game is over, it could take you an hour just to get back to the subway station at the stadiums and another hr to get to 30th st. You’d be better off getting a hotel room nearby.

I saw Sasheer Zamata solo last year. It was great, and I’m so glad I went even though I went solo.
I wanted to see a different comedian about a decade ago and couldn’t find someone to go with me, so I didn’t go, and I really regretted it because the solo activity would have been fine over not getting to see the show.

Whole Foods, Yes Organic, Streets, Tea & Spice Exchange in Old Town, and possibly Souk in Capitol Hill (on Barracks Row) have it.

For all that DC likes to drink, people are generally cool if you decline. A couple of friends don’t drink for religious reasons and they’ll sometimes order mocktails or sodas when we’re out but we’ve never had a waiter or bartender say something and I’ve never seen anyone pressure anyone to get one. In my experience it’s not a place where everyone drinks each round of drinks at the same pace, and no one cares if you don’t want to drink.

It’s together. You’re also better off voting for the best person and then lobbying your state senators and representatives about ranked choice voting.

During the day: Will the driver be coming into the museum exhibits/events with you; or can they stay with the van and take it to wherever they find spots?
It’s not uncommon to see coach buses parked down around the streets by the mall, but I don’t know what to do if your hotel can’t accommodate the van’s height. It’s not really something we have to deal with as locals.
If you’re staying at one of the bigger hotels, I would ask if their front desk or concierge can put you in touch with others who might know.
