First Gen exists if you own a Switch. I think its called Lets Go Pikachu and Lets Go Eevee. I remember everything from the dark cave, to Saffron City rocket base, the elite four, and Mewtwo. Unfortunately misses the Safari Zone and the gambling den. Original SMB is remade in one of the Mario Makers I think.

You can play OoT right now with the 64 access on Switch.
Games where a remake actually makes sense would be say MGS1-3, where there doesnt exist a modern platform to legally play them in any respectable way.

Unless a country bans digital purchases... gonna guess this is a historical phenomena. I waited At midnight for every big game released 2006-2012. Then I got Steam and bought on there. Now even consoles have digital day 1.

With a 4090, yes. I started with a 60hz 4k monitor on my much worse GPU and got a 1440p second monitor to hit 60+

IIRC new gambling laws have made the gambling den thing at the first Rocket base illegal in many countries as slot gaming is +18 only.
I'd sooner they just release the original GB clients in countries where it is legal and have them be as-is. If they did a full remake people would moan about all the grinding required to build a decent team--at least everyone did that for the first Switch gen (name slipping, one with the rich guy using legendary to power the country). Same with SMB. So much of the game relied on predicting enemy movement, your speed, and timing jumps. If ANY of that doesnt translate onto a new engine (which it likely won't perfectly), people would get mad.
More often than not remakes and remasters really compromise the original.
