Don't those hinges adjust? Hard to tell but generally there is a screw on the middle inside to adjust them. Take a look here

If not, just replace the hinges. They're cheap enough to rule them out. Ive seen them get bent out of whack. Adding a magnet as Ive seen suggested is a waste of time/money. It's trying to accommodate something that doesn't work correctly to begin with.

Glad I read this thread. I just rebuilt my garage doors bottom panel with a 2x6x14 pressure treated bottom, a 2x4 top and 2x4 verticals with wood panels. The panel weighs twice the original and the spring are just off of being able to hold the weight. I was thinking about ripping it apart and using lighter materials. Instead I will have the springs replaced. I'm sure theyre at least a 15 yrs old anyhow. In addition they're attached to a 2x6 nailed to a joist. Doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling seeing it.

Replace the thermocouple. when you do make sure electricity and gas to the system is off. It's cheap to try but will likely not buy you much time. When you do replace the coupler, drain the hot water tank. The will belp flush and crap out of it. Also clean stuff off and out as best you clean with a soft wire brush. It will cost you under 20.00 in most cases to try. Regardless if it works or not, prepare to replace it soon. I just replaced mine. It was 11 years old under same situation I bought an additional 2 years by doing this. Now ive upgraded to a 40 gallon . If you dont already have a 40 gallon, I don't recommend the upgrade if you have teens in the house. The more hot water available, the more they use it :/
