They burned through the preplanned plot in 2 seasons, so they had to come up with new stuff....it worked for a while...the tribal politics was good stuff.

It is a much slower, focused character study than Breaking Bad was, even though Breaking Bad was no slouch in that department....very much worth it to stick it out, top tier TV.

Burn Notice can be a slog at times...they spread the real storyline to thin over later seasons...that would have been a show that very much benefitted from the new 13 episodes a season standard. Love that show, but in hindsight consolidation would have been great.
