No, checkpoints don’t occur in Springfield anymore. They and Greene County haven’t done them for years. They do enforcement through traffic stops now.

Edit: While still they can still do DUI Checkpoints, I believe MODOT stopped funding these and now fund them through the traffic stop method.

I have some friends that recently purchased a new Trendsetter home. It’s been a nightmare for them. It’s entirely true. I’ve never had an overdraft. Maybe they’ve changed things since then, but this was how it was for years with them. I probably use a debit transaction 3 times a month now but they told me after the 12th or 13th debit transaction they start charging a dollar to the account holder because it costs them money. They suggested running it as credit so that the merchant gets charged the transaction fee instead.

Edit: I’m willing to admit when I am wrong, and I am wrong on this. I emailed them and asked if they had changed it. They said they no longer charge $1 fee after so many debit transactions.

I’ve been with them since 2006, so I’m not sure what the fresh start checking is. But I noticed years ago that my statements were showing $1 charges after I’d use my debit card, so I called and asked. They said after so many debit charges that they’ll charge you $1 for each one after that for the rest of that statement period. So I just charged it as credit or used my low balance credit card through them to pay for things in order to bypass that.

Other than that, they’ve been fine.

Except they charge you a dollar for using your debit card more than 12-13 times in a month. I charge everything as credit so they can’t do that.

The temps are far too low for any salt/brine substances to be put onto the roads. They just won’t work. All they have are the plows at these temps. Side neighborhoods aren’t a priority. Interstates, highways, and major roadways get the focus first and foremost.

I get it though, I met a snow plow on a state highway and he was plowing the very edge of the outer roadway, less than a foot, and the rest was clear. All he was doing was throwing shit at my windshield when we passed each other.

Yes, I don’t think they’ll ever open the lobby again. They make just as much money not having to staff it, clean it, or make food for a buffet.

They’re probably trying to ID who the person is by the ATM video/photos, if the person’s face is even visible. And they don’t get closed, they get suspended pending further leads. Banks are decent but some gas stations take months to provide police with surveillance video.

Harassment whether it’s warranted or not is still harassment. And I’d say one person saying they should vandalize property and 1-2 others saying they couldn’t personally do that isn’t exactly them discouraging it or saying it is wrong. Maybe you didn’t read all the comments.

You do realize that the same claim you’re making about that group has the same exact shit going on in this post? You’re bitching about closed groups encouraging harassment and the need to report it to SPD, all the while this post has people encouraging vandalism to a business.
