It’s actually one of my favorite holiday things to do—I go every year! I recommend getting there before opening and ready for a wait outside. I went at 4 yesterday (they open at 5) and got in around 5:30. I’d also highly recommend Birdie’s on Broad—honestly their holiday cocktails were just ok, but the decor was great and my non-drinking husband loves oysters so it was still fun for him. We didn’t have a reservation but went early and were sat right away.

Welcome! Depending on your age, location and the vibe you’re looking for, there are some great local haunts. I’m in the Willow Lawn area and I love Jack Browns if you’re a beer or cider drinker for a low key hang, and Don’t Look Back has great tacos, pool tables and a good vibe. Definitely check out the weekend events thread because there’s always festivals and events going on, weather permitting.

I love Lolita’s in Carytown for a fun vibe and delicious cocktails and Mexican food. We also just tried Gersi and really liked it for Italian

We waited in the line! It actually went very quick. Efficiently run with lots of volunteers. The line was wrapped around the building and we were in and out in about 40 minutes. Wear a warm coat and bring some gloves but overall not a bad experience.
