If you are up for a drive! Heritage Gardens in Sandwich, the gardens of glow! It’s absolutely fantastic, we make the drive back and forth from Worcester once per year for the season and hit the Lobster trap in Bourne for dinner with our kids. It’s a nice night. They are closed this Friday for weather, and I think my wife gets the tickets beforehand so I wouldn’t just do the drive without calling or checking availability.

Hi my brother in-law calls me a food snob, but I’ve seen a lot and been to a ton of places. I am a plumber who has worked in a lot of kitchens in worcester, and have eaten at a lot of places in worcester. There really aren’t many fancy places to eat here that are worth it in my opinion and it’s only my opinion but I keep getting disappointed every time I eat out here, either by the food quality, or horrible service!! If you feel like dressing up and spending a few bucks take a drive, especially if you don’t drink!!! Go to Boston ! Abe and Louie’s on Boylston street is fantastic, the service is amazing, nobody will be dressed like slobs! Neptune oyster on Salem is amazing and has some stuff you can’t get anywhere that I’ve seen around. Giacomo’s on Hanover street is always great Italian. Cafe Vittoria has amazing cappuccino. If you don’t want to make the drive all the way in there is the Capital Grill on route 9 in chestnut hill that is always fantastic. Make your birthday special, my kids love those places and we have never had a bad experience at any of them! Happy birthday!

Hi I grew up in worcester in the Tatnuck area and moved to Boston for my early twenties. I moved back to the Brattle area to in 2001 and built a house. I personally think this area is great for Worcester, less traffic and really easy highway access if you are a commuter. The central location of Worcester is great with skiing 30 minutes to wachusett, 1 1/2 hours to the cape depending on traffic, about an hour to Boston if it’s not rush hour. I really don’t care for the restaurants, and head to Boston for good dining, and better service. I’m happy in worcester, it has been a good place to have a family. I hope this sort of helps you! I have been happy here!

I really wish I could give you an idea of the cost but I have not priced things out in a long time! I do know that materials have almost tripled since the pandemic, like copper fittings, valve’s, and even solder is $40 per roll. Whatever you do, don’t go with the low bidder and if possible try to get a reference! I just went through hell with a roofer that was highly recommended from friends and had great references! The price will probably shock you Best of luck to you

When I did residential work I swore by Buderus for boilers supplying baseboard or a hydro air system. If you are replacing a hot air furnace there are tons that your installer can recommend, the codes have dramatically changed in the years over venting. You may have to direct vent out a wall, or if you were venting out the chimney before that, it may not work with new equipment. The codes changed because the exhaust from the equipment was deteriorating the clay liners in chimneys and destroying them, now chimneys have to be lined and inspected. Bafaro has been around forever. Pinnacle HVAC does great work!! I no longer do anything residential. I hope this helps

I’m a master plumber. You can’t get a certificate to work on gas in six months. If you have some secret way of pulling a gas permit and getting a inspection please contact plumbers local 4 because there are a ton of apprentices who would love to know your secret!

Reply to Grill dealers in the area by adrichamter
I had fantastic luck a few times with sclamos ! I used to send Weber grills to family members for gifts like Xmas and father day, and always had great luck, they were assembled and ready to cook!! Someone once gave me a gift certificate to Home Depot and I got a grill for my place at the cape and it was assembled wrong! Total pain dealing with the big dealers! I really liked my experience at Sclamos!
