3.4 billion for 7 extensions. 4.6 billion for SAS1. 12.1 billion for East side access which they fucked up unsurprisingly. and 7.7 billion for SAS2....I wonder if the MTA is willing to pull that massive checkbook for for outer-Boros transit expansion?

Also, its time to prioritize elevated railways over subways given the insane amount of ancillary infrastructure needed to construct and operate a subway.

" The revised bill requires that the car be “unoccupied” when a report is filed, a change that is aimed at avoiding conflict."

-I see this provision being so exploitable. I was taking the q46 and saw a bunch of dump trucks on queens blvd bike lanes with their drivers inside, which according to this provision means you can't report them.

continuous overtime abuse. multiple capital projects going over budget and over time due to inept project management and design. Penalizing toll-evaders only after racking up 3k and more in unpaid dues. And just years of chronic financial mismanagement and wasteful spending.

I want the MTA to be funded properly, but I'm also tired of the corruption and incompetence to be more fiscally responsible, and they can start by getting the police agencies to be more aggressive with toll evaders and reigning in the overtime abuse and wasteful spending, building utilitarian railway designs instead of these grand underground concourses like GCM and 2nd ave.

" But knowing that Michelle was murdered by being shoved in front of an oncoming train is unacceptable. That is not a fitting ending for a woman who shared the best of herself with others."

The political leaders and administrators failed him and his family. The public agencies failed him and his family. The MTA who have had a book's worth of prior incidents of mentally unstable people harming commuters and people being struck by trains, accident or malicious, failed him and his family. And more importantly, they all failed Michelle.

“Building on the proven model of linear parks, our $35 million investment vision for the QueensWay will enhance quality of life, improve air quality and kick-start local small businesses,” -Eric Adams

-so does queens link. Queenslink not only incorporates greenspace but a transit line that will advance transit equity for queens residents, decrease car dependence, traffic congestion, and vehicle emissions by bringing new transit options (47,000 rides are projected to use it daily) , resolve the congo-line that happens at forest hills, and increase connectivity to the rockaways and jamaica wildlife refuge. also, multiple studies show that transit-oriented development positively correlates with real estate development and prices.

simply put, queens link is in every way a better urban development project than Queensway.

" New York voters who dislike the Democrat or Republican candidates for governor have traditionally been able to cast their ballots for a long-shot candidate from any number of so-called third parties...But this year, for the first time in over 75 years, the state ballot appears destined to offer only two choices: Gov. Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, and Representative Lee Zeldin, a Republican."

" The paucity of options is largely due to former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, who championed changes in election law two years ago that made it far more difficult for third parties to get on the ballot. The changes to ballot access law tripled the number of voter signatures required for groups to get on the November ballot and forced political parties to qualify every two years instead of four."

Don't you (Hochul) think it is hypocritical of the Democratic Party to ardently promote the danger to democracy posed by MAGA Republicans and Trump yet under your leadership and the past governorship, Democrats have attempted to gerrymander by trying to include a highly liberal area to NYC's sole republican district, and Democrats having blindsided voters who neither identify with the Democrats or Republicans by obstructing third parties from competing in the governorship?
