I don’t get why . When I take weed I get paranoid and have panic attacks but take mushrooms very well . I don’t understand why weed Is legal but psychedelics are not.

But who has a choice ? I am poor and had to take when I can get . I rented on Craigslist too and sure my building is illegal . I would have to jump form the 4th floor if there was a fire but it is better than being homeless. If you don’t make 40 times the rent you have little choice . The sketchy part of this is he is only asking for female roommates.

You do get many low income people have to take these rooms. I did the same and haven’t had an issue . You see the place first and it is likely others live there too . It will be hard to find a room with only one roomate for under 1000

I am a woman and rented from a man on Craigslist in Bushwick for 800. If you look at the room first to see it is legit and there are others living there it shouldn’t be an issue . I got a cheap SRO out of it .

It isn’t glamorous but if already here for a long time , it is hard to get out . You can get food at food pantries , food stamps , service ets and share a room with many people of find an illegal SRO. To me 6 figures sounds wonderful . I could afford my one place then but it is because I am used to struggling . In the scheme of things it that much in this city .

They must not work a poverty paying job because I hate working a job that refuses to pay me a living wage and I wreck my body doing so . I then am expected to work when sick . In fact being stuck in a poverty trap doing physical underpaid work has made me suicidal in the past .

It is all over the country though. Minimum wage is 7 dollar and rents are too high for that. There you have to pay for a car. As long as jobs don’t pay enough and the cost of living is so high, people will be poor everywhere . It is easy to survive with 25000 in savings and any job. Middle class people say you can’t but are used to more comforts . You just rent a room and not live in trendy neighborhoods. North Brooklyn and Manhattan are far more expensive that most of the city .

Plenty of us live on it . It is called being in poverty.

I don’t know, I can live a whole year with that much money . I literally make 20, 000 a year . People with the privilege of more say these things and forget very poor people still live here. That much savings and even a minimum wage job can get you by .

Many in Brooklyn close at 11 pm so some are not open late . There is usually a 24 hour deli with better food open anyway .

Not sure how when many around me close at 11 pm . The Burger King , Popeyes and subway all open later than the McDonalds . As soon as they took salads and grilled chicken off I was done .

Happens nearly everyday . I so often see cars driving on the walk light or refusing to stop at stop signs . So many times I have nearly been hit . Then they get angry if I give them the finger after they nearly hit me .

Agree . I almost got hit today when walking on a walk light . It has happened more recently than eve before.
