They likely just re-sold your roof job to their subcontractors who do the roofing for bottom dollar prices with slave like labor. The financing is just a company called Hearth of similar that allows contractors to offer financing on their jobs to homeowners. You could have gotten financing from a credit union or something. The warranty is something they can weasel out of if they want.

Any company that says 'We have done 10,000 roofs in MA' means they just re-sell your job to smaller roofers as subcontractors who you could just hire yourself. So find a small roofing company that doesn't re-sell the job to subcontractors.

Hey! I can install an HVAC system for you affordably, but.. most people get greedy, and then refuse to pay at all and nickel and dime. I went to a vocation school for it, worked under a regional manager, installed myself, got certifications, then became a plumber. But nickel and dime customers are a pain. The whole get quotes thing is a waste of time, but it is only because you don't know who is good in the industry and are forced to rely on well marketed companies with shiny trucks, and when you get a good hvac guy, you get so greedy and suspicious, the guy doesn't wanna work for you.

I have thick old fir in my roof - why would I replace it with tiny fast wood that new roof trusses are made from? Sure, adding a second floor is great, but there is a lot of embedded carbon and exclusive old growth wood making the box of the house strong and resistant to wind...

don't disturb it! if it is surface mold, it can be wiped off; if it is inside the walls, it means the air is full of the mold seeds flying around, and the apartment is beyond repair - it will be a mold house forever. if you breath the mold long enough, such as years, you end up with immune and psych problems. Don't try to kill it - it's a million year old organism that isn't getting killed, it can only be removed with hepa vacuum, scraping, soap and water, etc.

They are busy stonewalling any police reform that was passed from actually taking hold and blackmailing the next governor into allowing their next money making scheme, which is probably not hiring, then saying nobody wants to enter the profession, then asking for grants to promote and hire more people, then just dividing the money among themselves somehow..

failure to yield isn't a big deal.. did you really have a failure to yield? you should really be weary of cops most of them are abusive and are actually corrupt and many of them are literally dangerous criminals.. now you should keep a big enough distance between you and the next car so you don't rear end someone if they stop unexpectedly. it is okay, relax, your insurance won't go up much. if you had an accident on your record, then it would though. but the accident may be on your dad's record.

i rear ended a businessman who was friends with cops.. he did a little chit chat with the cop, and the cop came and told me i had 7 days do file the accident report.. well turns out it is only 5 days, so because i missed the deadline by a day, the judge made the accident go 50/50 for the fault, even though the guy in front of me was at fault because he stopped all of a sudden and caused the accident
