Like every 10th thing correctly addressed and sent to my place - where I’ve been for 6-7 years - gets “returned to sender - no such address”. I think there’s one substitute postal worker who sees my apartment number and goes “3X… surely that’s fake”. (Not the real address but close).

For the most part I think postal workers are salt of the earth, - my granny was a letter carrier - but there’s also some real problems in the local PO.

So, if these hacks had taken a rudimentary journalism class in high school they’d know that this was an exercise to teach the kids the 5Ws.

They use the three bears or another fairytale because everyone knows the stories and it’s a good example of who, what, where, why, when and how.

We did a fair bit of text analysis of famous stories (fairy tales, the moon landing, watergate) all through high school and college as a way to learn journalistic skills- as well as writing exercises.

Also, it’s perfectly fine to critique the source as a means to evaluate the credibility of the assertion especially in cases where there is a lack of evidence.

I will never forget the absolute loneliness of staying in an AirBnB on Christmas Eve on Montreal. Watching a man shit outside in the park across the street and absolutely no services. No one to ask anything. I got dinged for not scouring something g.

That and check in was at 5 and checkout was at 9.

Edit: most of my experiences with Airbnb have been lacking in interaction, bland or at best adequate. Hotels have always mostly more “hospitable” though I’ve also stayed in some doozies. But I feel like I’m getting value for the hospitality. Especially on short stays of under a week.
