When you say they do horror movies on Monday’s, is it like the tv behind the bar has a movie on without volume and with subtitles, and nobody’s paying attention? Or is it like max volume and the whole place is watching the movie?

Not a good way to meet people but a top tier date idea after someone is found. During October the Byrd shows a ton of horror films and if you go to the right shows the organ player will play spooky pipe organ songs before the horror film starts.
Getting into the metal scene is probably where you’ll meet the most horror fans. The Canal Club has tons of shows of lesser known metal bands.

I think the key that could still make you a success this late in the game is massive initial investment on an awesome venue. I know that’s not feasible to just, like, have $10M to start. But a venue like Devil’s Backbone which is basically a campus with a fire pit and music stage and decent restaurant can still get you the brand recognition for people to buy your beer at a store. I think Bingo has done this to a smaller degree. But being successful with a hole in the wall generic warehouse brewery is, I agree, nearly impossible.

Definitely depends. You can’t buy a car from someone on Etsy but if you need soap, there are about 5 million unique choices and 4.999 million of them are made by hippies at craft shows

I’d assume mostly correlation? There’s already soooo much craft stuff everywhere that I have a hard time imagining there being even more variety of indistinguishable craft IPA’s on taps and in grocery stores.

Almost every Mexican restaurant has lunch specials. I go to Pepe’s and get combos for $7.75 or fajitas for $10.

These are the best 3 to me.
There is also Small Friends and Wax Moon. Wax moon is a super cool store but it’s mostly only metal/grunge/punk and I think it’s mostly new.

Capital Ale downtown has a venue roughly the capacity of Broadberry which is a much better spot to see a show. They have some good acts but need way more

Also an engineer but I’d be hesitant to say I could teach somebody high school math because the methods they teach in school change so much and so frequently. Like geometry is still geometry but they might teach a different way to do the same thing. You’d need to be up to date with current curriculums.
