I really prefer voskhod over the JAN. I Have to test the Mulllard yet. They are also highly rated.

Did you try voskhod drive tubes? They are really amazing, at least with Hifiman cans.

In my experience, it depends on tube. Some of them play perfect after 15-20 hours burn in but some tubes need much more. And during the listening session after they are burn in, I use to heat them for 15-20 minutes without signal and then another 10-15 minutes with signal and after this time they reach their best sound. I use Voskhod tubes - amazing sound sonically and really big sound stage.

Yeah right.
A lot of people does not distinguish the DAC and DAC/AMP combo and very often refers to DAC but meaning AMP.

Not really. Difference between pc/phone direct output and 100$ DAC will be a much bigger difference then between 100$ DAC and 2000$ DAC.
And me personally cannot understand why anybody spend bug money on headphones and plug it directly into laptop/phone.

Everybody id different with different taste. I own DT880 and HE400SE I think both are really good. Also depends on music you are listening to. I dont use them for DNB or simolar genres. But for Jazz, vocals - they are amazing.

I bought DT880 for around 150 € brand new with 2 year guaranty. And I think they are amazing.
