VAST had Touched as their only real hit that registered but have a really solid discography.
Smoking Popes is another although technically maybe they had 2 hits?
David Gray had Babylon as his big hit but put out some amazing work. (That might be a US thing as he is probably more popular everywhere else)

There was something like that with the English actors union? David Tennant said he had to get a different name because of that.

Reply to What are your best games you bought that you ended up not playing them much or not at all? by BedKnightX
Pathfinder WOTR.
Bought it and all the DLC. Love rpgs and it was just miserable. Everything i did all i could think about is ‘i bet theres a mod that fixes this on PC’
I got to the same point like 3 times and was just like F this.
Path of Exile is far more complicated and unforgiving but WoTR felt like they tried to be more convoluted and obtuse.

Or a band that blows your mind and they had one album and it was in 2002 or something ‘ancient’.

Finding a new band, then finding a song that blows away the first one you fell in love with. Then an entirely new band that may or may not be related to the first band.

Lowlights, morningsiders, sumbuck, caamp, the copper children.
Not sure what you mean by larger than life but those strike me as smaller folky bands.

Absolutely. People were able to put their music collections on their ipods. But the biggest thing was being able to access insane amounts of music that were potentially unavailable to you.
Imports, live versions, demos, out of print, or even too expensive. Suddenly you had access to things you wouldn’t believe. The biggest issue now for me is because there is this giant web of publishing restrictions albums I used to have are essentially gone. I had 15k+ songs on my old ipod, when that went i lost so many live concerts and stuff that wasnt sold in the US.

Watch the version he did on Jimmy Fallon with the roots. He played Suddenly/Caribbean Queen.
Canned Heat - Jamiroquai. I struggle to walk much less dance, but that shit makes me boogie.

A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys Painted wings and giant's rings make way for other toys One gray night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And Puff, that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar
His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave So Puff, that mighty dragon, sadly slipped into his cave
- feels like a lot of sadness. Growing up, losing the imagination and wonder of being a kid.

Sony has more ongoing relationships with companies and a longer history. I do think MS had exclusives in older generations, Sony maximized their and MS let theirs wither. Fable 1 and 2 were amazing. Then 3 puked on the previous games and MS messed up Lionhead. Halo was great then fizzled out. Sony was on their game and kept the exclusives going strong. Now MS is buying up studios and backing them more. But game development is slow. And with covid it got slowerer which showed how far behind MS was with their development.

On the easiest setting its not really hard. And if you figure out block/parry timing its like turning god mode on.
It does add a layer of complexity but potions are huge. Especially the oils. When you get to the top level oils its like 50% increase in damage. They arent mandatory like the older games but they’re definitely making it easier.

Theres monster killing contract work, theres a zillion sidequests with even more places to explore. And you never know where a sidequest will go. They are far more intricate and involved than DA:I all filler no killer. The world feels real and lived in. Its a rough place to be. You can make things worse for good people accidentally. It feels like an adult story vs a sanitized super clean game.
Edit: this was to add to the post for the OP as it was a great reply already.
