I'm torn on the Molotov cocktail drinking theory. It's obvious as I mentioned above that the thing knows everything the copied life forms know. Knowing what something taste like though? It's interesting to think about that. It knows what alcohol is but maybe it would just think the gasoline is a different tasting alcohol? Cool theory either way.

Well the thing would know what a noose is just like it knows what clothes are or how to use a doorknob. It knows everything the life forms it replicates know. So it is possible the thing left the noose up hoping the others would let him come in out of concern. Great scene for sure.

Reply to Ray Liotta died earlier this year and I saw Copland had been added to Netflix, so I gave it a shot. by HanSoloHeadBeg
Great underrated movie, Stallone reminded people he could act but without a doubt among all those heavy hitters Ray Liotta stole the show. He sadly didn't get enough great roles to match his talent. I watched his breakout film "Something Wild" just a few weeks ago, same story he owned that flick in a supporting role.

As someone mentioned this is the super rarity. A great original and a remake that had no reason to be made and yet is also quite good. I'm curious how everyone thinks the actors/characters compare? For me the original had a far better Peter Vincent and Amy. The Remake had a better Charley and his Mom. Both versions of Jerry and Ed were great.
