I look up ways to make a lot of things:
Pine Sol
Tamiflu
Washing Soda
Canned foods
Ice cream
Potting soil
Salad dressings
Butter
Anything knit or crocheted
All it takes is a Google search and a bit of effort. I'm learning to sew too.

These worked for me: Amber light-blocking sunglasses for the drive home. Block all light in your room or eye mask. Eat healthy. No caffeine at least 8 hours before sleep. Melatonin or tart cherry juice an hour before bed. White noise machine or fan while sleeping.

You wear shorts and slippers to shovel in 20-degree weather. You've gone out barefoot in the snow to get something off the porch.

Some towns have transfer stations or swap shops. You would have to live in that town to use it.

Thanks. I'm glad to hear that! That has NEVER been my experience, so, of course, I have different assumptions than you.

It's actually off-road diesel so less expensive.

Reply to What is the truth about recycling in Maine? by jevamoka
Might want to do some research into your local recycling program. Ours was literal trash. Had a friend who worked there. We had "zero sort" recycling containers. Those containers then went to the processing plant where they were all dumped onto a conveyor belt and through a shredder. Everything was contaminated so nothing could be recycled.

I always buy sheets at TJ Maxx, cotton 400 thread count. Lower thread counts give more durability and are still comfortable. 1000 thread count sheets are made with smaller threads, which are more fragile.

FYI for anyone who loses that game of chicken, off-road diesel at the pump can be used in place of heating oil. It's a bit more expensive to buy it that way, but you can stay warm until a delivery comes. I keep a couple empty 5-gal containers on hand just in case.

I wouldn't depend on this. I used to be able to get it on demand too, but now a lot of places have scheduled delivery days for each area.

Looks similar to every other phone plan. Take a look at Mint Mobile. I have great coverage even though I'm in a valley. With their recent deal, it worked out to $7.50 a month.
