Anywhere north of Berlin and you’ll get Québécois radio stations, maybe even TV. Not sure you’ll find anyone walking down the street speaking French, unless they’re tourists too.

Reply to That 44-unit tiny home development, built by employer who can't keep staff by GraniteGeekNH
There a couple building projects like that in the works in Conway. A hotel owner bought an office building and is turning it into apartments. The business that was in there found that most of their employees can work from home so why maintain a building. The hotel owner is currently housing a dozen staffers at the hotel for $25/night.
A healthcare facility is also in the works and will include 200 condo units that will only be for sale as primary, long term housing, a bunch of 55+ houses and a couple dozen ‘bungalows’ that they’ll maintain as employee housing.
The owner of Settlers Green outlets is building 200+ apartments for long term residents and 18 ‘townhouses’ that’ll also be deed restricted for long term residents.
NH has been so ‘business friendly’ for the last 4 decades it’s hurting businesses.

Not sure if we switched to Arbor, my wife did it. Switching away from Eversource as the provider has at least mitigated Eversource rate increases.

No idea. But without Sununu in the race you’ll see more Democrats get in the race.

Yep, but the NHGOP has no bench. His 13 year old son might be the next republican that can win a statewide race.

Reply to Why does this state seem to lose power so frequently? It’s always related to downed power lines from trees? Or is this a grid issue? by JayBisky
It seems to be concentrated in the South, where most people live, which makes sense. Fewer power line to lose up north.
Anyone have stats on which providers have the most outages over the years? When I lived in NH Co Op land we rarely lost power. They trim branches year round. Only in major outages. Now I live in Eversource land. We’ve been lucky but I rarely see them trimming branches.

The Co-op was always trimming trees when I lived in an area serviced by them. Rarely lost power. Now I live in Eversource land. Been lucky so far but I never see them trimming trees.

That adds up to $4 million/year according to the article. If it didn’t come from inspections it’d have to come from somewhere else or we pave/plow less.

With no broad based taxes the state has to raise revenue with ‘user fees’ like inspection and registration fees.

Noise ordinances vary town to town. There might not even be one in your town. Conway didn’t have one until a year or two ago.

Haven’t been to Cathedral this spring but any snow that gets direct sunlight is melting fast in Conway. It’s been 40+ consistently so it’ll go fast everywhere.
