Brooklyn is a very small sample of life in the city. I think maybe people try a little harder over in Curtis Bay.

Also, the worst parts of Seattle aren't in Seattle.
They farm out their negative statistics to Tacoma.

I must say, I don't get San Francisco's stellar reputation.
That place sketched me out worse than almost anywhere I've been on the East Coast.
Just felt chaotic and aggressive.

On one level, it's a serious uphill battle just because of the hard line drawn between city and county.
Many other cities would also look awful statistically if they had never been able to annex their inner suburbs.
In many other locations, a metropolitan area like Baltimore's would also have some of its higher-crime areas located in a completely different jurisdiction (think Philly/Camden, NYC/Newark, DC/crappy parts of PG, etc.)
Instead, they're all grouped together in one municipality, with little statistical counterbalance from inner suburbs.

No, if he was a jew and said they invented anti-semitism just to have something to do, that would be a weird non-sequitur.
I think you might have completely missed my point, intentionally or otherwise.

An African American saying "slavery was a choice" is just a weird non sequitur, really. It's a fucked up thing to say, but it doesn't really even connect up with the cultural memes associated with white supremacist ideologies.
Suggesting that Jews control everything, and that one is about to inflict ultra-violence on them, has been the prelude to various anti-semitic ethnic cleansing initiatives for centuries.
Of course a German company founded by two guys who both joined the Nazi party and cooperated with the war effort was going to drop him. The only real question is why it took them so long.

Yeah, prison terms for gas station attendants that allow bikes to refuel, and buying a squeegee requires proof of car registration and insurance.
And yes, I'm joking about peoples' attitudes, too.

Paramilitaries.
Hire the squeegee kids to do it.
Part of the job is taking pictures and calling them out on social media.

Ethiopian is definitely a great choice.
It's interesting, the menus almost always offer a "veggie combo" or "veggie platter" or something to that effect. But part of the reason for that is the prevalence of "fasting food" in Ethiopian cuisine, which is normally served on various fasting days in the Ethiopian Orthodox church calendar, when consumption of animal products is proscribed.
Put "fasting" in quotes because I always end up stuffed lol

A while back, I was driving up MLK and a younger white guy was on the median strip, presumably to panhandle. When I stopped in traffic and looked at him, I realized he was pointing to his wrist, holding his arms up, then waving a middle finger at all the cars. Did this whole cycle three or four times.
I rolled down my window and asked him what was up. He said "Can you tell me what time it is?"
I told him, and he politely thanked me and told me to have a good one.
